Self Love Note

In honor of May being Mental Health Awareness month, I’m going to tell you to be nice to yourself. A healthy mind is just as important as a healthy body. So no criticism, no negative self talk, no tearing yourself down. Instead, accept yourself as you are. And if you have a hard time accepting yourself, then at least say that you willing to try to. Then, love yourself enough to work toward being the way that you desire. This could range from working towards the appearance you want, to the career you want, to simply having a healthy state of mind. Remember to do it from a place of love, not lack. In the past, I’ve treated my body and myself so poorly and it wreaked havoc on my health. I’ve had eating disorders, I’ve over exercised. This is one of the many reasons that I chose a career in the fitness industry.. so that I can help others not feel the way I felt and do the harmful things I did. So please, treat yourself with care & respect - I know it’s hard to do this sometimes, I truly get it. Some ways that you can love yourself are by nourishing your body with healthy foods, exercise without overdoing it, getting enough rest, and doing more things that make you happy.
